AI is coming for us all.

No matter how much you fight or wish it to stop, it won’t.

It’s just getting too easy to use. Almost overnight it went from cursed Will Smith spaghetti videos to arguably photorealistic video. It’s even figured out hands - something most human artists still struggle with XD

And it’s growth and improvement will only continue.

One day it’s going to be so cheap and efficient that it’ll replace most of the current human creative labor leaving only a handful of AI babysitters. Why would someone hire artists when you can pay an AI to make art for a fraction of the price? Companies are only motivated by money. And consumers (the ones who give the companies money) don’t care if something was AI or not. Only artists care, because we’re the one’s that are threatened by it.

What’s a humble creative to do?

Well in Marketing theory there’s a concept called a USP - which stands for a “Unique Sales Proposition”. It’s what you do better than your competition. It’s why people pick buying from one company over another. The basis of a strong USP is a feature that’s really hard for other companies to copy or replace - like a secret sauce or process.

So the question becomes….”what can I do that’s irreplaceable?” What can AI never do better than me?” The answer is really quite elegant.

You.

You are a completely unique thing in the universe.

All of your perspectives, talents, and past (everything that makes you You) added up together create a unique package that is incredibly difficult, or near impossible, to replicate or reproduce. The only way to survive AI is to turn being You into a business. The only way to thrive in the AI age is to turn You into a product.

Instead of a USP, you need a “You”-SP.
